About
Court Morgan, E-RYT500 & RYCEP(She/They), has been practicing meditation since 1997 and yoga since 2001. Her teaching blends alignment, somatics, Buddhist studies, trauma healing, clear intention and detailed instruction to foster awareness, compassion, and playfulness.
With deep roots in the YogaWorks lineage, ongoing study in trauma resolution and a dedicated practice within the Buddhadharma through IMS and Spirit Rock, Court’s approach is both precise and heartfelt. She offers a path of yoga that encourages connection, curiosity, self-awareness, humor, tenacity, and personal agency in service of personal and collective liberation. As a longtime practitioner and teacher, she lives and works by the central tenants of a path of awakening - sila (ethics), dana (generosity), and bhavana (practice), and encourages students to enjoy the richness of their practice in all of life. Court teaches classes, workshops, and day-long retreats locally in Providence, RI and holds residential retreats with her partner and fellow teacher, Laura Williamson.
Philosophy
We each possess a wealth of innate resources that are unique, inspiring, and powerful. This practice is the process of accessing, trusting, and understanding these natural gifts through direct investigation of the processes of body and mind. With this, we can learn to nourish this life - through movement and breath, stillness and reflection, creation and letting go - to unbind the creative process, embrace potency, and discover the incredible freedom of heart and spirit that is available to all of us.
Wherever we are in life, whatever we have encountered, there is always the opportunity to begin again, re-integrate what feels scattered, and rest in a sense wholeness. May you know the goodness and ease of your own heart, and may this serve the liberation of all beings.
“Court is a one of a kind yoga teacher who builds creative sequences while integrating real life anecdotes and spiritual teachings into practice. She is a highly skilled practitioner and incredibly knowledgeable about human anatomy and energy systems. Walking into Court's studio feels like entering a caring and constructive space that, for me, inspired a life-long yoga practice.”
